Relaxing starts from fully exhaling

Do you remember the last time you’ve completely exhaled? Deep breath is the foundation of yoga, and it’s the basic action that leads to focusing in yourself. This rhythm of breathing balances your autonomic nerves, and over time, it will strengthen the bone structure and muscle movements of your entire body. What’s quite unknown is that what leads to deep breathing is not in inhaling but actually in completely exhaling, breathing out all the air from your lungs. When life is busy we often become nervous or anxious, and without realizing, many of us tend to hold our breath or repeat short breaths without being able to fully exhale.

The beauty of your body begins from a fulfilled mind, and to relaxing your mind starts from breathing. At Yuka New York Yoga, we open by focusing on breathing, and learn how to focus in yourself. Through breathing and unforced poses we train to build balanced and toned muscles throughout your body. If you’re living a busy life in the busy big city, please come join us at Yuka New York Yoga. In a small class setting we’ll attentively teach you authentic yoga from New York from the very basic. We really look forward to practicing yoga with you.
